Dudok, The Hague
Now a café favoured by members of the Dutch parliament, the remodelled Brasserie Dudok was, before the war, an office building directly across the parliamentary buildings of the Binnenhof. The ‘Dudok' concept, successfully developed by the bureau for the Grand-café Dudock in Rotterdam, has been successfully transplanted to The Hague. The floor pattern in brick and natural stone, the finishing of window frames in black steel, and the benches and tables of wood and leather all combine to give the restaurant a timeless feel.
